- Finite element modelling and multibody dynamics analysis using advanced computer aided engineering tools
- Developed a simplified finite element beam model from a fine mesh model of A350XWB wing-box structure with its high-lift systems (HLS) and transmission for the purpose of multidisciplinary design optimisation and multibody dynamics studies
- Programed an algorithm to automate the static and dynamic analysis on the wing-box structure for the A350XWB using computer aided engineering tools such as Nastran, MSC Adams and Matlab
- The scope was to reduce the computational time required to run through the many load cases
- Enabled the verification process to iterate automatically until certain conditions were met successfully
