Added a new section for bolt fatigue analysis in the report. This evaluates the fatigue safety of bolted joints subjected to alternating loads, according to VDI 2230-1, section 5.5.3. Fatigue analysis is essential when a bolted connection experiences load fluctuations during service, such as in mechanical assemblies, structural connections, or rotating equipment.
Updated the bolts in the components database, to eliminate inconsistencies between shank length and shank diameter (e.g., bolts with non-zero shank length and shank diameter equal to 0)
Solved a bug whereby, when the user created a new bolt group and went straight on to specify a component for that group, MARS would report a “datatype mismatch” error. This error would not be reported if the user selected another group first and then returned to the newly created group to specify components
Updated the live joint drawing, to display the joint even when there are unspecified components, and to provide feedback on required or invalid parameters when it cannot calculate and display the compression cone
Solved a bug whereby when analysis type was switched between Comprehensive and Simplified, the safety factors would get reset to their user defined default values
Solved a bug in the joint drawing for cases when the compression cone is a full sleeve. In these cases the compression cone was being drawn over only half the distance between the bolt head and counterpart. This was affecting only the drawing of the joint and not the calculations
